laser eye lift

Also known as laser blepharoplasty, laser eyelid tightening is an alternative to traditional surgery that does not cause much bruising or swelling. It can be used on the upper or lower eyelids and around the eyes as well. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis with little or no downtime.

At LDI, we combine lasers and radiofrequency (RF) energy to improve skin elasticity to manage the signs of aging and help improve a patient’s appearance. Dr. Jacob Rispler, our lead dermatologist, has innovated new techniques to make the process easier and less intimidating for patients.

Why Consider a Non-Surgical Eye Lift?

Lasers can be used to tighten skin under the eyes, reduce bagginess and dark circles, and treat wrinkles and crow’s feet as well as drooping eyelids. Laser eye tightening is painless and precise. Any irritation generally subsides within a few hours; there is a minimal risk of scarring compared to traditional surgery, and patients don’t require anesthesia. They can usually return to normal activities immediately after the procedure.

Eye lift Surgery vs. Laser Eye Lift Treatment

A laser eye lift is a short procedure, often performed over a series of sessions (typically three to five). Recovery is much easier than with a traditional blepharoplasty, which tends to cause bruising, swelling, pain, and irritation. Patients often require a treatment regimen of pain medication, cool compresses, eyedrops, and special ointments. With laser treatment, you may have swelling for at most a couple of days.

After traditional eye tightening, the results are irreversible. That’s fine if you’re satisfied, but eyes can often be left looking tight or stretched, even hollowed out underneath. There’s also the risk of scarring and eye damage. The cost of surgery, anesthesia, and prescriptions for pain medications and antibiotics can be prohibitive.

Using radio frequency skin tightening, dermatologists at LDI avoid significant discomfort, recovery times, and costs associated with traditional surgery.

Lasers Used for Non-Surgical Eye Lift

Our dermatologists specialize in using radiofrequency lasers to perform eyelid tightening, an under eye lift, and other procedures.

Forma: Contracts skin and simulates collagen production using radio-frequency technology. It can be used on the upper and lower eyelids, loose skin, and for crow’s feet. Given the more natural results it can achieve for tighter, more defined skin, Forma is ideal for eyelid tightening. It can also be used in combination with other laser treatments, injectables, and fillers.

Fractora: Fractional rejuvenation applies a series of micro pins in a minimally invasive procedure that can leave you looking younger and refreshed. It’s often used on the lower eyelid and upper eyelid as well as other parts of the face and neck. Fractora can be combined with other treatments as well, while results and healing are often quickly noticeable.
